Mansfield Plumbing Products divests brass products business to Prier Products, Inc.

Perrysville, Ohio, March 19, 2007 – Effective March 19, 2007, Mansfield Plumbing Products has completed an asset sale of its brass fitting business to Prier Products, Inc of Grandview, Missouri. Mansfield Plumbing Products (MPP) is a 75 year old Ohio based company producing a wide variety of quality sanitary and bathware.

This sale allows MPP to more effectively focus its attention and resources on its core expertise in designing, manufacturing, and selling beautiful ceramic and acrylic bathroom products. Historically, Mansfield has manufactured and sold a variety of brass products including frostproof hydrants, ballcocks, valves and brass accessories. Jim Morando, President of Mansfield Plumbing Products, comments, “We are pleased that our strategic divestiture has resulted in the continued supply of quality brass products to our customers. Prier Products is an experienced supplier of these types of products with a reputation for excellence.” To provide a smooth transition, Mansfield will produce an initial supply of product for Prier to sell. Technical support will also be provided during the transition phase.

Prier Products, Inc provides an extensive offering of wall hydrants, angle sill faucets, drainage products and gas log lighter equipment. The existing Mansfield products fit well with Prier's existing business in the wall hydrant category. “This is truly a win-win for both companies,” said Joe E.
